Tell us about your race (limit 500 words)…: The SC Half is one of my favorite races. Though the field size has gotten smaller over the past couple of years, this is still a great event. While I didn’t have my best day with a few mistakes here and there, I feel like it was solid given where my training is at the moment. While the weather was hot, the day was a lot more comfortable than the past couple of weeks. My swim went awful since I had some difficulty sighting the buoys (they were not lined up at all!). I’d say my bike was just a tad below average for the course, but I pulled out a solid half-marathon. Overall I can’t complain, and my 5:14 was good enough to get on the podium, so I was pleased about that!
