Tell us about your race (limit 500 words)…: Very hot day, and a tough summit finish. The last 3K was an average grade of 7.5% with portions over 17%! I hit my max HR for most of the 11 minute climb. The race was cut to one loop/climb due to the heat, so we raced about 30 miles rather than the full 48. The field went out hard; we actually passed the Cat 4 race that started 5 minutes ahead of us.
