Team SF accumulated NINE total placements at the West Point Lake Triathlon in La Grange, GA on June 13th, 2010.

Even with temperatures topping out in the 90s, Team SF managed to pull out some stellar performances.

In the Olympic distance race, Team Sport Factory dominated the top 10.  In the men’s race, it was Sam Morgan for the second week in a row that came out on top.   His first place finish topped second place by nearly nine minutes and he posted the only sub-1hr bike split.   Sam is coached by Brett Daniels.    Following behind him was Dennis Reardon (1st AG 35-39) who bravely battled the heat and ended up 4th overall. Dennis is coached by Matt Hansen.  Brian Duffy put in a good showing in the 19- and under category, placing 2nd in his age group (2nd AG 19-under).  Brian is coached by Holly Marzetti.  Rounding out the male placements was  Byron Milton, who finished with a 3rd AG placement.  He is coached by Matt Russ.

In the women’s race, the top 10 was once again dominated by Team SF:  Jennifer Lesser knocked 10min off last year’s time in the same race, placing 4th overall and 1st in AG 35-39 in a very competitive field, missing out on third place by just a few seconds.  She is coached by Matt Russ.

One of our newest phenom swimmers, Tracy Palmer, finished strong in 6th overall, 1st AG 30-34 . . . in her 3rd triathlon ever!  She is coached by Amy Kloner.  Katie June rounded out the top 10, placing 9th overall, 1st AG 19 and under.  She is coached by Holly Marzetti.     Other placements included Crystal Perkins who again showed impressive form and is definitely “one to watch” (1st AG 25-29). She is coached by Jennifer Lesser.

In the Sprint race, our own Andi Dunlop was 4th overall and 1st masters female.  This was Andi’s first sprint triathlon in 8 years and she had a tremendous showing! Andi also posted the 2nd fastest run split, crushing her previous open 5k time.  Andi is coached by Amy Kloner.

Congrats go out to all Team SF athletes that competed in some very tough conditions. With water temps nearing 90 degrees and the “no-shade” run over the dam,  the team truly showed how tough they are!
