Race Placement/Time/Qualification: 1st overall female.

Tell us about your race (limit 500 words)…: While I was originally signed up to do the John Tanner race, I decided to forgo it for my daughter’s soccer game. Race morning came, and it was pouring rain along with a bit of thunder and lightning. I showed up for the race, and the rain had subsided. However, when the gun went off, the rain starting pouring again and it made for a very wet race. The first mile was flat, with a long downhill. The second mile saw us running back up that downhill and I passed the one girl that was in front of me. All I had to do was hold my pace till the finish though it was more hills! I was able to hold on for the win and the wet award. Very fun race and nice to be done by 8:00a.m. ! Finish time was 21:46.
