Name: Bill Plough

Age: 43

Personal: : The glory days are long gone. When I was younger, I enjoyed playing team sports year round. I played football, basketball and lacrosse in high school, and continued with basketball and a little lacrosse in college. Not unlike many after graduation and getting into the real world, life, work, and injuries began to creep up on me and and I became much better at driving a desk all day, and exercising and sports started to take a back seat. In recent years I have discovered a joy for cycling as it is keeping me sane and helping to fight off the ever expanding waist line. Last year, my younger brother (by 15 years) talked me into my first sprint tri. I can’t say my training was anything to brag about, but I didn’t drown and I survived to the finish, and surprisingly felt like doing it again, provided there is a bit more preparation on the front end. My goal is to have fun with it and get in a little better shape. CLYDESDALES RULE!

Athletic experience/accomplishments: Too long ago to remember accurately, but the stories get better every year.

2010 Goals: Bike MS Atlanta to Athens
ADA Tour de Cure
Lake Lanier My First/My Next Tri
Calloway Garden Tri
Hickory Knob Tri
JDRF Ride to Cure Tour de Tucson

Inspiration: Cookies and Pie
