Age: 26
Personal: : I am currently a linguist with the U.S. Army Reserve and have been since 2001. I recently moved to Alpharetta from Tysons Corner, VA and I’m loving it already. I love to hike, camp, be outdoors in general. I have an amazing 3 year old boxer that keeps me company on runs and embarrasses me at the dog park. Definitely interested in meeting new folks in the multi-sport/athletic community and training to new and better goals.
Athletic experience/accomplishments: I joined the multi-sport world in 2005 following my first trip to the middle east. My sister and brother encouraged me to do St. Anthony’s with them and the rest is history. I courageously (i.e. not too smart) challenged myself to the Rock N’ Roll Half Ironman the same year and Ironman Coeur D’Alene the following year, completing each with one of my siblings (IM with both!). Prior to that, I ran with a club in highschool and played baseball. Nothing too crazy.
2010 Goals: My favorite distance to race is olympic/international, although the shear excitement of a sprint is a blast as well. I would love to top my AG and push the overall envelope in both distances. I’ve brought myself to the top 3 several times, but I know that there is an entirely new level to move up to, waiting for me. I’m not looking to get back into the long distance arena just yet, I feel that
my responsibility now is to strengthen my body and mind to tackle that distance again in a few years. In the meantime, have fun!
Inspiration: My mother, my brother, soldiers all over the world.
