Name: Kevin Spengler

Age: 30

Coach: Brett Daniels

Personal: : I am married to my wonderful wife of 6 years, Patty. We also welcomed our son Isaac this year in April. I work for General Electric where I manage a team of engineers that solve issues with power generation equipment around the world.

Athletic experience/accomplishments: In high school, I played soccer, tennis and ran cross country. I took a 10 year hiatus from organized sports after going to college. I started triathlons in 2007 (on a 20 year old mountain bike) as I needed a goal to get back into shape. Since that time I have competed at various distances and placed in my age group in several events.

2008:
Tugaloo Olympic – 7th AG
Tri 2 Remember Sprint – 3rd AG
Lake Lanier Islands Sprint – 2nd AG

2009:
John Tanner Sprint – 5th AG
Tri 2 Remember Sprint – 1st AG, 8th OA

2010 Goals: 2010 is all about building endurance. My primary goal is to finish my first Ironman.
