Personal: : My wife, Ashley, and I have a son and a daughter, Noah(8) and Ella(6). In our spare time we like splitting time between the mountains and the beach. We do a lot in North Georgia both from a cabin and a tent. I’ve always enjoyed mountain biking and spent some time whitewater kayaking. I’m a financial advisor at MorganStanley/SmithBarney as part of a six person team catering to high net worth families and institutions.

Athletic experience/accomplishments: Mountain bike racing was my first passion. I accidentally got hooked on road bikes for awhile and hit a streak of two years where I rode multiple 100-150 milers. I started participating in triathlons, but really found my sport after my first adventure race. Where I was participating in triathlons, we’re now competing in adventure racing. This past June we finished our first 48 hr event and we compete in multiple 6-30 hour races. The team component of adventure racing is one of my favorite aspects of the sport.

2010 Goals: First marathon this March.

Inspiration: To stay young and lead my kids to an active lifestyle.
