Tell us about your race (limit 250 words)…: I loved this format, a long swim 1.5K and then a short run 5K!!! My kind of race! Wearing a wetsuit in August was odd but it was low 70′s so it was necessary. Lots of great swimmers! I lost the lead pack of women and was left to pull the second pack with a 22:24 swim. It’s hard running full speed right out of the water and it was pouring on us, but the legs got going and I had my best 5K of the season with a 21:55. They held an Olympic dist. on Sat, a Sprint on Sunday and then the Aquathlon Nats too, great weekend. Family brought home 3 1st places AG and 1 2nd place AG. Clay won his AG in the Sprint.
