Tell us about your race (limit 250 words)…: This was a well organized race. I didn’t expect to see as big of a turnout as they ended up with. Swim seemed long and slow, long T1. Hilly bike and hilly run to finish you off. Run was about 1/2 off road and 1/2 on black top. Not a race to set a PR, but nice venue, clean lake water. They’ve never allowed wet suites for some reason, even if temps qualified, according to what I was told. Awards/results were timely. Was my first race for 09. Been off this spring, glad to break the ice. Would be a good pick for any first timers next year in the Kentucky area.
