Tell us about your race (limit 250 words)…: Great race. Nice calm and clear lake swim. The bike was flat but the wind was in your face the whole race. We kept hoping for that tail wind around the next turn but it never came. Had some cloud cover so it wasn’t too hot on the run.
It was a fun race cuz most of the GA Multisports crew were doing the race. So we came up with a handicap pool to make the race interesting. We had the fast gun younsters, woman, and old farts. We determined the winner by time, accounding for our handicap, but also gave bonus points for the fastest transition times. It was a close race but I lost to Joe Fulton (age 27) by only 4 seconds. Fun time was had by all.
Only one bad thing happened…I had my first ever penalty…for riding on the left for too long and not moving back over to the right after a pass.
