Kloner Takes First Pro Victory At 11global South Africa
Amy Kloner started her season with a win at the 11global South African Triathlon. 11global is an international race series that includes races in China, Malaysia, and Singapore. The Cape Town South Africa event consisted of a traditionally flat and windy course with sub average water temperatures to start the race.
Kloner showed off her biking strength by catching SA pro Rianna de Lange and posting a bike split of 1:03. Coming off a running injury she is still rebuilding her speed but managed to hold off de Lange for the win with a time of 2:12.
“The warm welcome from all the South Africans was phenomenal, and I was just happy to there. I was able to experience so much more than just the race. 11global also coordinated social/community projects, such as swim lessons, with some of the pros. They put on a first class event.”
