Personal: Greetings, I am the proud parent of Reese Ann Elizabeth McCambridge, my two year old pride and joy. Reese and I love to swim, bike, and run every day, no excuses. Just kidding but Reese does love to play in the bathtub, ride her four-wheeler and chase me around the house. Definitely a Kona qualifier in the making. Aside from training at all hours of the day and night I enjoy my guitar, traveling, music, real estate, and keeping in touch with my large family. Full time I am a Health and Physical Education teacher, which is rewarding, fun, and a fulfilling way to make a living. Part time I enjoy managing, maintaining, and rehabbing my rental properties.
Athletically I am fortunate to have been introduced to Matt in 2007. The sport factory team has taken me in as an Elite member and I look forward to seeing how far I can push it. Health and fitness are two things I cannot remember living without. For instance, my grandmother ran a 3:16 marathon when she was something like 46 in the early 80S!! In my high school days I loved to run and was part of a district record 4X800 team, competed in the PA state cross country meet, and was on the Marine fitness team that placed second in the nation. Had a blast in collage as I ran track, was selected as captain of my cross-country team, and qualified for a national 3v3 soccer tournament.
Turning a negative into a positive is what I am all about. When I was sixteen a brain tumor, the size of my thumb, left me unable to read a get well balloon. Ten years later I got my masters in education, with a 4.0. So when chronic achilles pain slowed my running I just changed gears, started to swim/bike and I was hooked on triathlon. One thing led to another and in 2006 I was able to qualify for KONA in my first Iron Man!! 2010 has me pumped up to race, train and overcome anything in my way.
This season I want to run injury free!!! If my foot cooperates I will focus on the Macon Half, age group nationals, and I would love to get into a late season IM.
See you out there!

Special thanks to Dr Sadri of First Choice Healthcare. Dr. Sadri’s expert hands worked some magic on my achilles injury that I have been dealing with for years. Therapy administered over the year made my 2009 season possible. A big thank you to Dr. Sadri, Tom, and the rest of the team at First Choice Healthcare.
